One of the important architects of this enlightened period was the great scholar who came to Kastamonu from Shirvan, which today is within the borders of Azerbaijan. <strong>Fethullah Shirvani\u2019<\/strong>Dir.<\/p>\n<p>\u015eirvani, one of the leading figures of the period in the fields of mathematics, astronomy, geography and jurisprudence, came to Kastamonu upon the invitation of Candaro\u011flu Beyi \u0130smail Bey, who attached great importance to education. This valuable scientist, who shaped Anatolian madrasas together with the famous astronomer Ali Ku\u015f\u00e7u, trained students in the \u0130smail Bey Complex, which still preserves its elegance today.<\/p>\n<p>Ayvat Village \u015eirvan Neighborhood, located southeast of Evrenye village in \u0130nebolu, today bears important traces of this journey of knowledge. In this quiet neighborhood surrounded by greenery, there is a modest tomb attributed to Fethullah \u015eirvani. Although it is not known for certain whether he slept here or not, it is certain that the great scholar Fethullah \u015eirvani's path somehow passed through these lands and established a connection with this region.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that the region has been known as \u201c\u015eirvan\u201d for centuries and that the local people protect this heritage is the greatest proof of this ancient connection. This corner of Inebolu continues to keep alive the memory of a deep-rooted bridge of knowledge stretching from \u015eirvan to Anatolia.
