Preserving \u0130nebolu\u2019s rich historical and cultural heritage for future generations with the mission of serving as the \"city's memory,\" the \u201cOn the Path to Liberation\u201d \u0130nebolu City Museum invites visitors on a captivating journey through time.<\/p>\n

The story of the historical building that hosts the museum is as impressive as the artifacts on display. Built in 1882 as a madrasah by the then Governor of Kastamonu Abdurrahman Pasha on the instructions of Sultan Abd\u00fclhamid II, the historical building served the district as Inebolu Municipality for many years.<\/p>\n

In 1996, this historical value, which was severely damaged by an unfortunate fire in 1996 and was evacuated in 1997 and left to its fate for years, was restored in 2013 with the initiative of Inebolu Municipality and opened in 2014 as Inebolu City Museum on the Road to Liberation.<\/p>\n

Inebolu City Museum is a source of pride that has been repeatedly awarded by Turkey's prestigious institutions not only for its rich content but also for its successful restoration and museology approach,<\/p>\n

When you step into Inebolu, the most important stop on the Independence Road, you should definitely add this museum to the first row of your sightseeing route. The historical texture that envelops you from the moment you step inside offers an unforgettable experience by combining the traditional life culture of Inebolu with its rich collection telling about its maritime past and the sacrifices made during the years of the National Struggle.<\/p>\n

The museum is open 6 days a week, except Mondays, between 08:30 - 17:30.<\/p>\n
